The ML in PL Conference (formerly PL in ML) is a non-archival scientific conference on machine learning research and applications, organized by non-profit ML in PL Association. It is held annually in Warsaw, Poland. Ever since its inauguration in 2017, the conference has been gathering a diverse audience of machine learning researchers and enthusiasts, providing them with a platform to listen to the leading experts in the field, present and discuss their latest research, and meet like-minded machine learning enthusiasts in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere.
Below you can find more information about ML in PL Conference and what distinguishes it from other events.
To inspire our audience and create an excellent environment for learning and exchanging knowledge, every year we aim for an impressive line-up of speakers and panelists consisting of the world’s leading experts in machine learning. ML in PL Conference would not exist without presentations of our community members. Each year we invite all to submit their talks and poster proposals. We receive a multitude of high-quality submissions and accept the best proposals to be presented at the conference. We aim to provide a forum for discussing recent advances from the possible broadest range of topics and perspectives. Because of that, our selection process focuses on inclusivity, embracing a wide range of themes and viewpoints. In addition to scientific excellence, we consider the relevance, novelty, and uniqueness of each proposed topic.
ML in PL Conference gathers in one place, diverse audience, including researchers, engineers, developers, data scientists, students, and enthusiasts from different backgrounds, locations, and genders. Since 2019, each year, the conference is attended by around 500 participants (maximum capacity of the venue). Below we present some statistics about the population of our participants.
Based on the registration and conference survey data from 2019 and 2022 (two most recent on-site editions, 2020 and 2021 were virtual edtions).
ML in PL Conference has been endorsed many times by the participants and speakers that appreciated the quality of the scientific program, the professionalism of the organization, and the great friendly atmosphere. One such person was Yannic Kilcher. We share here a fragment of his video, where he talks about his experience at the conference.
The proof of the conference's popularity is the fact that the regular tickets, which are sold in a first-come-first-served manner, sold out in less than 15 minutes, every year, since 2019.

Over the years, ML in PL Conference has been supported by many companies that are industry leaders in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence research and applications. We are grateful for their support and trust.
ML in PL Association is a non-profit organization set up by students from Poland that wanted to have a world-class machine learning conference in their country, so they decided to organize it themselves. The association consists of a group of volunteers, mostly undergrad, graduate, and PhD students, that are devoted to fostering the machine learning community in Poland and Europe and promoting a deep understanding of machine learning.
Despite the conference being organized by volunteers in their free time, the years of experience, well-defined structure of the management, and knowledge transfer between senior and junior members of the association ensure mostly smooth organization of a large-scale international event, which is ML in PL Conference.
100% of the profits from the conference are used to support the organization of the next editions of ML in PL Conference and our Machine Learning Summer Schools. Check all our activities and initiatives on our website.
